El germen que dio lugar a ARS SYMBOLICA 2000 fue la idea de crear un libro con “imágenes para meditar”, o lo que es lo mismo un libro de emblemas, pues de pertenecer a un género, este libro pertenecería al olvidado género de la Emblemática. Ese que practicaban alquimistas, sabios y eruditos de épocas ya remotas como Alciato, Athanasius Kircher o Michael Maier, entre otros.
Y como tal está concebido, siguiendo las pautas de esos libros “mudos” en los que predominaba el valor significante de la imagen frente al de la palabra, y donde los símbolos son acompañados simplemente de breves citas o párrafos.

El libro comenzó a redactarse en primavera de 2013, justo en los días en los que recibí El Mensaje Reencontrado de Louis Cattiaux, libro que inevitablemente ha imantado el proceso, tanto que considero ARS SYMBOLICA 2000 como un hijo bastardo (y del siglo XXI) del Mensaje de Cattiaux. Y desde ese 2013 hasta hoy día no ha dejado de revisarse y aumentarse el borrador, o más bien… someterse a incesantes sublimaciones y destilaciones, el libro debía cocerse a fuego lento.

Junto a Cattiaux a lo largo del libro se citan muchos otros maestros herméticos, textos rosacruces, adagios alquímicos, pero también por ej. a Novalis o André Breton; además incluye referencias y guiños a movimientos ‘religiosos’ y subversivos más recientes como el Discordianismo o la Iglesia de Subgenius. Pero a pesar del tono pop de los collages y del humorismo de alguno de ellos, el discurso que prevalece en el libro es el más tradicionalmente simbólico. Podría decirse que en el libro se aborda la cuestión de la muerte iniciática, pero también que alude a lo que se llama “misterio crístico”.

Lo considero un libro mágico, que a través del estudio profundo de los símbolos, y la experimentación con ellos me ha llevado a un otro lado.
El maestro Eckartshausen cita el Evangelio en uno de sus libros:“Si tu ojo fuera simple.”
Así pues ha de enfrentarse uno a este libro, con ojo y corazón simples.

¿Y respecto al autor de esta obra?
El autor no es Nada.
Porque bien sabemos que toda inspiración viene de Arriba.

The root that lead to ARS SYMBOLICA 2000 was the idea of creating a book with "images to meditate to", or what is the same, a book of emblems, if this book would belong to a genre, this book would fall under the forgotten "emblematic" genre. That one who alchemists, wisemen and erudites of remote ages like Alciato, Athanasius Kircher or Michael Maier, along many others, practiced.

And like that it is conceived, following the points of all those "mute" books in which the significant value of the image was predominant in contrast to the word, and where the symbols are accompanied simply by brief quotations or texts.

The book started redacting in spring 2013, just in the days in which i received The Reencountered Message by Louis Cattiaux, book that inevitably has magnetised the process, as much as i consider ARS SYMBOLICA 2000 like a bastard son (and a XXI century one) of Cattiaux message. And since 2013 until today it hasn't stopped being revised and the draft hasn't stopped growing, or more like... being submitted to incessant sublimations and distillations, the book should be cooked slowly.

Along with Cattiaux during all this book many other hermetic masters are quoted, rosecrucians texts, alchemic adagios, but also for example quotes by Novalis or André Breton; also it includes references and tributes to more recent "religious" and subversive movements like Discordianism or The Church of The Subgenius. But even with the pop intonation of the collages and the humorous content of some of them, the message that prevails in this book is the more traditionally symbolic. It can be said that the book treats the question of the iniciatic death, but also it alludes of what is called "christic mystery".

I consider it a magic book, that through the profound study of the symbols and the experimentation with them it has lead me to "the other side".
The master Eckartshausen cited the Evangelium in one of his books:
"If your eye were simple".
That is the way that one should deal with this book, with simple eye and heart.

What about the author of this work?

The author is nothing.
Because as we well know all inspiration come from Above.
